The Tipping Point
I recently listened to the audio version of Malcolm Gladwell's The Tipping Point. Thinking about how ideas spread like viruses has opened up a whole new way of looking at things, specifically marketing.
I am thinking about how Gladwell's theories could be applied to some of my interests. How could I use his ideas to market a new play or musical? How could non-profits successfully use his idea to promote a cause? How could the virus concept be used to get people to convert their beliefs to join a specific religious group or political party?
What are the practical steps that someone might use to begin an idea virus of their own?
